The beers

At long last, this weekend will be the first major event where we'll be able to serve our beer! We are proud to announce the first three beers we'll be offering to the public.

Check out our Beers page to learn more about Low Bridge Hoppy Golden Ale, Excavator Rye Brown Ale, and Hayburner American IPA.

Low Bridge and Excavator will be at the upcoming Ballpark Brew Bash.  The following week, all three will be available at the majority of events we'll be attending during Buffalo Beer Week.

Additionally, for those of you lucky enough to own VIP tickets to the Brew Bash (which is now sold out), you are in for a treat from us.  Many months ago, we brewed a very small batch (20 gallons to be exact) of a very special beer designed to commemorate our opening.  We'll have 5 gallons of Wedding of the Waters English Strong Ale in the VIP section:

Wedding of the Waters
English Strong Ale

To commemorate the opening of the Erie Canal, Governor DeWitt Clinton ceremoniously poured a barrel of water collected in Buffalo into the New York Harbor.  We brewed “Wedding of the Waters” to commemorate the opening of our brewery.  Celebrate!

This beer pours a dark brown color with a rich, lasting head from the use of flaked barley.  The aroma is malty sweet and contains notes of dark fruits, notably raisin and fig.  The taste is similar, with some caramel, toffee, and slight chocolate nuttiness in the background.  It finishes slightly dry due to aging on bourbon soaked oak staves.  At 9% ABV, it’s a beer worth savoring and appreciating in all its malty complexity.

Malt: Maris Otter, Flaked Barley, Victory, Caramel, Chocolate
Hops: Galena
Other additions: Aged on bourbon soaked oak staves
ABV: 9.0  IBU: 50

If you miss this beer this weekend, don't fret; there will be other chances to try it in the near future.

We hope you will join us in celebrating these beers, Buffalo.  Cheers!
